ZIPBACK

Working alone I was challenged to sell the experience of time travel. The prompt asked me to name, brand, and sell this experience. I had to produce a travel company logo with a travel brochure (minimum of eight pages), and travel documentation. The deliverable also included a physical ticket, and I was required to design icons relevant to the product and repeat pattern backgrounds were necessary.

I iterated my design through several phases, beginning with preliminary sketches on paper. I used Adobe Illustrator to digitally translate and refine these concepts. For purposes of color selection, proofing and layout, I then moved to an indesign document. I printed my final product on Epson premium paper, and rendered a prototype of my tag using chipboard, white string, an X-acto knife and a drill press.

This process taught me about adhesive measures and how to apply the right glue to my printed booklet and jacket swingtag.

Process development has taught me the importance of organization in regards to the refinement of design. When looking back on a project, you should be able to see how you got from where you originally started to your final outcome.
